Personal Bio:
After narrowly completing finishing school in Coronado, Bayless Cobb followed his passion and traveled to the exotic tropical islands off of Africa in the Indian Ocean to learn the lost art of inland lobster farming.
As Bayless would later tell Time magazine, "They are mean, rotten, aggressive creatures." Bayless accounted that their aggressiveness was the main reason that throughout history, inland lobster farming had never taken off as a profitable or even practical venture, explaining that once they reached a certain size; the cannibalistic lobsters would turn on each other without provocation, ready for their next meal.
By the age of 17, Bayless had triumphed above all odds and displaying a preternatural gift for communicating with captive lobsters, rewrote every book on the subject, eventually being coined the Lobster Whisperer.
Amidst all his success and accolades Bayless once again grew restless and longed for another adventure. On the eve of his 18th birthday, emboldened by rum, Bayless signed a contract with the Maldivian Merchant Marines. Quickly learning that, much like his father he lacked sea-legs, Bayless broke his contract, jumped ship and wandered the Seychelles with a bounty on his head for the remainder of his teen years - working the spice trade and studying linguistics.
By the time he was 21, Lady Luck smiled on Bayless once again and he made quite a name for himself as a distinguished yet ornery yacht broker. This was not to last, and after following a bad tip from an old Cuban friend and doing a small stint in an Antiguan jail on trumped-up charges, Bayless made his way back to Coronado Island.
In Coronado he was reunited with childhood friends Jason Ronis and Marc Lee Miller and tried his luck in the treacherous yet lucrative financial waters of Southern California in the early 2000's. After following the ebb and flow of the markets he has since settled down to a relaxing life surrounded by friends and family with a small relaxing nightclub in downtown San Diego.
